This 2005 Hallmark Keepsake ornament continues the Santas From Around the World collection that started in 2004.
As far back as the 13th century, England’s national identity was tied to the exquisite needlework that was produced there. The embroidery on this Father Christmas’s robe is reminiscent of the scrollwork and nature motifs of 17th & 18th century decorative items like samplers, clothing, and household cloths.
