This time last year at King’s Cross Station, Harry Potter pushed his trolley toward the barrier between platforms nine and ten, closing his eyes and bracing himself for the crash. But the crash didn’t come. Instead, Harry found himself on Platform 9 3/4, ready to board the Hogwarts Express with a great mob of other children.
Now, returning to Hogwarts after summer vacation, Harry once again stands with his owl, Hedwig, before the barrier. Its almost eleven o’clock. In a moment, he’ll be on Platform 9 3/4. After all, what could possibly go wrong?
