Description
When the Ranchero was introduced in 1957 as part of the Ford truck line, advertising encouraged consumers to “Look … Look again!” The first car with a truck bed, the Ranchero was patterned after the full-size Ford Fairlane and resembled the Ranch Wagon. Buyers could choose from every engine option including the Thunderbird Special 352 V-8s as well as luxurious interior trims. By 1970, the luxury pickup was being described as “the second car that can do things your first car can’t.”
Eighth in the All American Trucks Hallmark Keepsake Ornament series.
The front license plate is dated 1957, the back plate on the Hallmark ornament is dated 2002.
The ornament is die-cast metal and the wheels turn.
