Dale Jarrett, the 1999 NASCAR Winston Cup Champion, scored another impressive win in 2000 … becoming one of only four drivers to win the Daytona 500 three times. In 1996, Jarrett was the first driver to win both the Daytona 500 and the Brickyard 400 in a single season. That same year, he took the checkered flag at the Coca-Cola 600.
Jarrettâ??s first win at Daytona was in 1993. Only two years earlier, he began his winning ways at the Champion 400 at Michigan Speedway. It was his first NASCAR Winston Cup victory in 129 starts. Racing is a Jarrett family tradition. Dale is the proud father of Jason, an aspiring NASCAR Winston Cup driver, and the son of a two-time NASCAR Winston Cup Champion and broadcaster Ned Jarrett.
