2000 The Tender, Lionel General Steam Locomotive

Description

Complements the General Steam Locomotive, the 2000 Edition of the LIONEL® Train Collector’s Series.

This ornament is a replica of the LIONEL® tender (1862T), issued with the General Steam Locomotive in the late 1950s. The original General Steam Locomotive was famous for its involvement in the Civil War. In 1862 Union soldiers deep in Confederate territory captured the locomotive but before they could reach Union troops, the General was retaken by the Confederates.

This ornament is made of die-cast metal.

The wheels turn on the tender.
