Description
When NASA Astronaut Tony Nelson crash-landed on a deserted island, he was probably dreaming of being rescued. Instead, he opened a mysterious bottle and rescued a beautiful genie from ancient Baghdad…and that was the beginning of the highly successful TV sitcom I Dream of Jeannie.
Of course, Jeannie granted her Master’s wish to be rescued from the island. Then she stayed around to “help out.” Appearing primarily to Tony and his friend Roger Healy, she worked her magic with a nod, a blink, and a “boink”รข??often creating as many predicaments as she solved. The original episodes ran from 1965 to 1970. A Saturday morning cartoon version began in 1973.
