Description
Ah, the leg lamp. It means something different to everybody. To Ralphie, it’s “the glow of electric sex.” To his father, it’s an “indescribably beautiful” piece of art, a result of the “mind power” he mysteriously used to win it. To Ralphie’s mother, it’s bad taste in bright lights and must be “accidently” destroyed. But before Mr. Parker buries the pieces of his shattered “major award,” it shines out from the house on Cleveland Street with all the goofy warmth and humor of A Christmas Story. And so, to many of us, it means the holidays are here.
